Is A Small Business Marketing Coach Required?

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

If you are a small business owner and are consistently finding yourself short of leads and revenue you might need a marketing coach. Just like a sports coach, a small business marketing coach holds you accountable to get your marketing done.

Do any of these sounds like you:

  • Your marketing efforts are sporadic and inconsistent.
  • You have typically relied on referrals for your business, but find them hard to come by anymore.
  • You find yourself focusing on tactics and don’t have a plan.
  • You find you have other business systems but not a marketing system to provide you with consistent leads for your business every month.

If you can relate to any of the above, you are in need of a marketing system. By engaging with a small business marketing consultant you will have a step by step proven process to help you build a marketing system.

The biggest key difference between a marketing coach and a consultant is that a marketing coach helps you with the strategy and you do the leg work. This holds you accountable in taking action and getting results for your small business.

This could be the greatest decision and investment you could make for your small business in the next year. Do you have other systems  in your business like HR systems and Accounting systems? Do you have a marketing sytstem? If not, you should in this or any economy.

Gas Furnace Prices – How To Get The Best Value-For-Money

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

With the colder weather now drawing near, many people will be looking to replace their gas furnace with an improved, more efficient model. Gas furnace prices are an important factor in achieving a cost-effective solution to your heating requirements.

Make certain that you do not make the mistake that many people make and that is to select your new gas furnace solely on the basis of which one is the cheapest. This may be an expensive mistake over the long-term.

You need to buy a furnace that is sufficient for your heating needs and is not ‘over-specified’. Given that future gas prices are very likely to be higher than they are today, you should look at buying a high-efficiency furnace. Although this will cost you more initially than a low-efficiency furnace, the long-term savings on gas should more than offset the difference in price.

You will also need to consider the costs of routine maintenance and servicing as well as the guarantees and warranties that the furnace manufacture will supply with your new furnace. The availability of spare parts and how quickly these can be obtained and fitted also need to be considered to ensure that your heating is never out-of-action.

The current economic climate means that gas furnace manufactuers and dealers are desperate for your business. This means that there are some real bargains to be obtained if you shop around for the best gas furnace prices.

A new gas furnace is a major purchase so you should take plenty of time to ensure that you get the best combination of price, performance and economy that you can.

Our Family Vacation Was Quite the Event

Sunday, August 16th, 2009

Like so many other families that have not taken a vacation for a couple years, watching our cash because of the economy. My sister’s son and my only nephew asked his fiance to wed him and that is’s all it took! Found out the date the wedding was going to be held, my husband and I both had vacation time coming from work so we decided to make the trip and make it a holiday as well. Before we knew it, it was time to get packed and load everything up and got on the road.

This was no little road trip. It is almost 1200 miles back to my childhood home town in IL so there was plenty of time spent driving. Sadly not all of our problems got left behind at home. After one or two hours of sitting and driving the 1st day I had began sensed some lower abdominal discomfort. Being perfectly honest I really thought it was a combination of being anxious, excitement and just sitting for too long. However by the end of our first day the discomfort had become more intense. When we finally stopped for the night I attempted to settle back and stretch out some, hoping that it would improve, but there was no change. It got so bad I though we might have to go to a local emergency room. I decided to attempt to get a good nights rest and make the choice in the morning. Before going to bed I called my mom to let her where we were at and what was happening with me. After describing the symptoms I was having and she told me she had the similar symptoms the time she was having problems with ovarian cysts. She also told me about some of the different treatment of ovarian cysts and how this one natural treatment worked best for her. So I made the decision to go to the emergency room that night, just to confirm what was happening.

I’m sure every single one of you have experienced visiting the ER at one time during your life or another. Well, the one we visited was remarkably packed. Let me say this, agony or no pain, sitting in a room full of ill and injured folks was not a excellent environment. The mix of all these elements actually pushed my anxiety. As time passed with individuals coming out and in continually, waiting to be called while experiencing a great amount of discomfort it was ultimately enough and I started experiencing a panic attack. All I needed to do was get out of there, agony or no agony. I must admit, if it was not for the support my husband had given me, in addition to the tools I learned about overcoming panic attacks I honestly believe I would have walked out. Eight hours later I left feeling a little better as far as the agony. The anxiety and panic had gotten better and the ultrasound confirmed that I had a ovarian cyst. There wasn’t any cause for alarm though I was given a prescription for discomfort if necessary, some guidelines on stuff to keep clear of and told to check in with my GP when we got back home.

We made it to Chicago and over the following days the pain decreased. I was still experiencing a little anxiety, but it was most likely anticipation about what exactly was happening. In fact one evening we all met up and went out to eat at one of our fave restaurants . This is the type of food you simply can’t find in the south where we live, so we all did some over eating that evening. My hubby went slightly more overboard then he should have. I could tell as he mentioned that he required one of his remedies for heartburn before we even even made it back to our room. We laughed at it, but the rest of the night he was in not feeling very well because of his acid reflux and heartburn.

In looking back it really was a wonderful time. The wedding went smoothly without a glitch. It was a event to remember. Actually the whole visit was something to remember. We started a little shaky but the time was spent well surrounded by family and old friends that we had not visited with in several years. That was one of the best holidays the family and I went on in ages.

Finding Good Rental Homes Means Doing Your Homework

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

One thing you more than likely will see is that there are not too many shortages when it comes to rental homes. Quite often individuals will buy a second home as a means of investment and for the purposes of renting out. When the economy is poor, you will see an upsurge in rental homes as many individuals find that they just are not able to cope with carrying two residences.

So what do you want to look for when seeking out rental homes? To begin with, you want one that is going to be in the neighborhood of your choice and secondly it has to be within your budget.

One factor that you must take into account is to check out all the extra costs. Most often, when you are going after rental homes you will find that there is more than just the rent to be paid and in many cases, you will have the utility costs as well. Then you are going to find that many different places have restrictions. Some want no pets, others insist on no smoking and even some will say no children.

One thing you do not want to do is you do not want to move into a house with some major problems. For example, you do not want a house that you move into and then you find that it leaks drastically and then you have a deadbeat property owner that does not want to do any fixing and you are stuck because you have signed a two-year lease.

There are associations and government officials that you can go to depending on what country you live in and they have various regulations that will stipulate what the property owner has to do as far as repairs. If he does not comply with the rules and regulations, he could be hit with a hefty fine. However, you being the rental occupants it really does not do much good when it has taken 3 to 6 months to fight this before a tribunal.

With proper shopping around and some scrutiny, you will find many rental homes from which to choose. Ideally, you want something that you are going to be in for a long-term unless you are planning to move again within a short period. If this were the case, you would probably be better to move into an apartment temporarily.

If you are not sure of the area, you might want to check it out again before you move in. If you find out that it is a high crime area more than likely are not going to want to be putting your money into a home rental to be subjected to this type of treatment.

Mortgage Protection Insurance: The Best Decision You’ve Ever Made!

Saturday, August 1st, 2009

Everybody knows that purchasing a house is likely going to be the biggest investment of their lifetime. The saying is “You Buy A House, You Make It A Home.” You should feel safer in your homed than you do anywhere else in the world. There’s nothing quite so comforting as know that you have an adequate amount of mortgage protection insurance in the event of your untimely death.

When you buy a house it means that you’ve decided to make a long-term financial commitment. Unfortunately, you never know what the future holds. One thing’s for sure though. If you’ll go one step further and purchase mortgage insurance this will help alleviate the stress often caused by a weak financial plan. To say it plainly, if you don’t have some type of mortgage life insurance and you die unexpectedly there’s a good chance that your spouse and children will be forced to sell the house and move into an apartment.

Believe me, I know it’s tempting to skip the insurance in an attempt to save money. However, perhaps it’s time to do a bit of research. With the economy in the shape it’s in nowadays there’s a very good chance that you can get a better deal on mortgage life insurance that you might have imagined.

Think about it. You’re committed to taking care of your family while you’re alive, but what happens if something happens to you? Wouldn’t you feel more at ease with a mortgage protection insurance policy as part of your overall financial portfolio?

Honestly, finding the right mortgage life insurance policy is not difficult. If you do your research on the internet it’s really not even all that time-consuming. Trust me, the peace of mind you’ll get from it simply cannot be measured in dollars and cents. Actually, it will probably turn out to be the best decision you’ve ever made in your life.

Licensed Practical Nurse To Registered Nurse Career

Monday, May 4th, 2009

Although the sour economy is hitting every industry hard, including health care and nursing, there are things you can still do to advance your career. Yes times are tough for many even if they still have a job. Of course these people are fortunate and hope they can continue to stay working. While it should be a time to hunker down (pay off debts and save money) many LPNs of course would still like make more money by getting a better job or advancing their career.

Most people in the general public have heard that there is a nursing shortage. And of course those working as an LPN already know there is demand for RNs. As a result many have decided to return to school or are seriously considering it.

Demand for nurses will vary depending on where you live. So if you live in an area where demand is higher then returning to school may be a great idea. If you do not live in an area with a lot of demand, you still may what to consider going back to college if you would be willing to relocate or get your education and hope demand picks up in your location.

Returning to school is not a cake walk. It will require a commitment to succeed but you can do it. Even if you are short on time do not worry too much since you can use the Internet and LPN to RN programs that offer flexibility to help you complete your education. Now you can structure your studies around your work and family schedules.

Of course you can make more money by becoming a registered nurse and as a former licensed practical nurse your responsibilities will also change. While many do enjoy working as a licensed practical nurse many will later in their career decide to go back to a university because they want a career change but still want to work as a nurse.

Pros and cons of the Atkins Diet

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

There are a range of arguments for the Atkins diet, which come from the developers of the diet and those who are currently following the diet. Many arguments on the internet also exist, which state that the Atkins diet is a viable diet and should be allowed to be used by more people in order for them to receive the benefits of this proven fat burning diet. A number of studies have also shown potential in the Atkins diet fat burning potential for people who wish to use it.

However, not all of these arguments are positive and they require further investigation. Despite this, the fact still remains that the Atkins has proved itself to help the user lose weight. To the average person, losing weight would be a boon that he or she could not turn down, and with this diet, nothing is different.

The Atkins diet replaces the bad things that go into your body and makes your body burn fat cells for fuel. There are always new diet fads that are being introduced all of the time, trying to take the place of more established diets that are proving to work well for those who try them. The Atkins diet constantly has to fight off other diets wanting to take its place and from those who do not believe it is any good.

The Atkins diet can also save individuals money as it lessens the amounts and types of food you need to eat, thus reducing cost and increasing accessibility. Saving money in an economy that is as in trouble as ours is a must. In addition, with costs skyrocketing, it is often too easy to eat unhealthy foods due to the price increases. However, the diet will provide a limited number of foods to choose from (typically focusing on meat) which will reduce the amount of food needing to be bought and eaten. This is also beneficial for people who want to use part of their money for groceries.

Many individuals are not aware of how to best care for their health and make a number of mistakes, which result in problems in the longer term. This sort of ignorance can easily damage an indivdual’s health. Following the Atkins diet allows indivuals to start setting targets for their health while using the guidelines of the diet.

But while there are many challenges for the Atkins diet, each dieter will have to decide if they want to try it and then assess the results for his or herself. It can be a good diet when used together with supplements and an effective exercise program. While the diet may not be for all, there are still strong arguments for the use of the Atkins diet.

Buying An Authentic Rolex Watch

Friday, March 6th, 2009

Rolex Watches are probably one of the most famous branded watches you can purchase in the world today. They are considered to be luxury at its finest and with a very strong second hand re-sale value it can also turn out to be one of the shrewdest long term investment products on the market today.

A weak economy combined with having a weak Dollar and Euro means that Rolex have raised their retail prices no less than 3 times on their entire in 2008 through to 2009. This in turn has resulted in price increases being reflected across the range of all second hand rolex watches.

When purchasing your first Rolex watch there are some tips that I would like to share with you to help make your purchasing experience a pleasurable one and hopefully stress free.

The Rolex used market is rife with copies, replicas, fakes, and also include fake boxes, paperwork and booklets. Therefore, it can be a mine field out there so please don’t be afraid to ask the watch vendor some important questions. If you are unsure about the replies then it may be best to look somewhere else. Remember, there’s a big world-wide market out there with thousands of genuine Rolex watches available for sale, so don’t get disappointed if the first enquiry is not as fruitful as you had hoped.

1. Don’t purchase any Rolex watch without its original certificate and please be aware that Rolex do not issue copies. The certificate is produced by Rolex when the watch is manufactured and has its individual number inscribed on the watch head which will match the embossed number on the paperwork. Please be aware of copies, scanned or faxed copied paperwork.

2. Ask for the individual serial number off the watch in question and any Rolex agent will confirm the Rolex watch is 100% genuine and is not on the Rolex lost or stolen list. There may be a small charge for this service, but this is negligible compared to potentially buying a stolen Rolex watch and later having it confiscated by the authorities.

3. Remember that there is always a good second hand market value for all Rolex watches be it through the retail sector or online, so if the watch seems too cheap then it probably isn’t authentic.

4. Second hand Rolex watches with the appropriate box and original paperwork can fetch up to 70% of its current retail price on the open market. This will depend on age, condition and model.

If you have bought your first Rolex watch I hope you enjoy wearing it for many years to come. If it is kept in good condition and serviced regularly then it can, over a period of time, be the best investment you make.
